I’ve been hanging with The Complete Last Waltz All Stars the last few days. I’m currently in the car, headed to Port Chester for the soundcheck and show. It’s a good way to celebrate Thanksgiving eve! I’ll share my drawings throughout the day as time permits…
Sixteen, by Seth Berkowitz with Balthrop, Alabama /
Here’s a catchy Chanukah song by Seth Berkowitz (Lucky Ghost, Losers Lounge) about a young boy who’s trying to make the best out of his parents’ divorce at holiday time. I did the cover art with Pascal Balthrop and I got to sing some background vocals on it too. It’s free for download over at the Balthrop, Alabama page (or for a name-your-price-price if you’re in the holiday spirit). Give it a listen and share it if you’re inclined. I’m so proud of this song, I’m kvelling!

I was invited by Joe’s Pub to come and draw one of their live performances yesterday. Luckily, my flight from LA got in just in time for me to drag myself and my suitcase from Newark Airport to Joe’s Pub so I can draw these guys. Balthrop Alabama, they were really good.
Sketching while dead tired and a little bit buzzed is a good way to get me to loosen up. It was fun to see a bunch of other people in a bar with their sketchbooks out, drawing.
