Hung out with my buddy Benji Hughes yesterday and ended up with a drawing of him that sort of reminds me of Jerry Garcia…

Very delayed post, but I had the real pleasure of going to Joe’s Pub on November 19th to draw bands Emefe and Balthrop, Alabama live! It was a night of truly incredible music and energy. Thanks so much to the people who organized this, including the charming Michael Arthur, Joe’s Pub resident artist.
I love these …

It’s a snowy day in Brooklyn. Here’s a silly video I threw together using the iPad Brushes program in the days after the big blizzard of 2011. Went out the day after the big snow and took some pics and then just drew on them. Josh Kaufman gave me an unreleased Rocketship Park song for the score.
Hope everyone’s warm out there!

This drawing of members of Lucius and Yellowbirds rehearsing John Lennon’s Happy Christmas (War is Over) almost slipped through the cracks. It was the first drawing I did on Sunday—in my private notebook—and I forgot to scan it with the others yesterday.
Guess this gives me a chance to thank Lucius and Yellowbirds for an amazing day and night and to wish everyone a happy holiday season!

Lucius last night at The Bowery Ballroom—their final show of the year.
I got to hang out and draw during sound-check, up in the dressing room before the show and on the side of the stage during the set. Pete gave me earplugs because he said the stage was gonna be loud, but I only wore them for a while because I like loud.
